In a 10 minute time span around 10:15 am there were 20 Monarchs continually heading south. It was near Klode park by the lake. They were flying primarily in small groups. I have never observed this
so late in September. I did not get an exact count. At 11:30, they were still flying south as I saw many more. It was a sunny windy day, possibly a southeastern wind.
