Monarch Waystation #271 reports: 8:30 am while ending the watering of the front yard and walking to the front door, I spotted a hummingbird flying into the small flower bed from my neighbor's yard. It hovered near a flowering Tropical Milkweed just long enough to assess me, then reversed its track and headed up towards the middle of the tree close to the end of the building to the northeast. When I saw it, it was in the shade, silhouetted against a sunny background, so was sure it was a hummingbird but it was too far away for my uncorrected nearsighted eyes to see any strong field markings at that time. Quick blur.
