I was surprised by a Monarch fluttering past my head today. I felt as if it was saying Good bye and thanking me for a good summer! I wished it Bon voyage and safe journey, as it must be one of the few butterflies left to leave. All chrysalises are empty except one, which we check every day, secretly urging it to hurry up before the weather turns cold. We have had a warm September, but the temps will be turning soon.
