Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/01/2019

Number: 75

We started out taping paper butterflies on our poster each time we saw a monarch fly by, but once we ran out of those, we had to resort to tally marks. Our poster count says 73 but two more flew by as we were going inside. We were on our playground for 45 minutes and it was a hot and sunny morning. Some were gliding along and some were flapping and going fast, all headed due south! Everyone was very excited!
