Saw a beautiful group of Monarchs in the north bed of the 91st garden in Riverside Park. We spoke with a woman who had seen the butterflies grow in numbers for about a week. Today was the most she had seen.
My husband and I happened upon the monarch butterflies in Riverside Park last year and made a specific trip to see them again this year. We were so pleased that we timed it perfectly.
To determine the number of adults, I tried to count up the number of butterflies I saw in one tree and multiplied it by the trees and flowerbeds that we saw them in.
