Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/01/2019

Number: 86

My friend, Larry, phoned me to say that he had 86 monarchs mostly in directional flight heading W-SW this morning between 8:30 AM and 12PM. He counted 41 in all at his house, the harbor, and around the city. He then counted 45 at Harrisville State Park at our stationary count spot in about one and a half hours before the rain and fog set in with the temperature falling from the 70's to lower 60's. Weather was hazy all day with rain on and off. More rain on the way for the next two days with temperatures around 60F. Larry is often with me on PEAK days, but I missed out today!
