They came early again this year, before my wild Asters were in full bloom. Peak migration in my area of Illinois ended but the weather turned warm so I was glad to see a few more coming through my yard. The Goldenrod was nearly gone, but the first buds on the Asters began to bloom. I knew they'd find it if they were nearaby, and they did. I saw two together. One was skittish and kept leaving the scene and returning. The other one kept drinking the nectar.
