Many monarchs have been nectaring for the past week in my neighbor's stand of Mexican Sunflowers. We have counted up to 20 at a time. They sometimes fly into my yard to visit the anise hyssop,red clover,or celosia but always return to the sunflowers.
I have a second flush of butterfly weed (no blooms yet) that they sometimes circle over, but I have not seen any land.
