This picture was taken on 03 October 2019 at 12:45pm CST. The location was Wacker Drive between State and Wabash. One adult female monarch is pictured, but I saw one other nectaring in a nearby planter, and two additional monarchs in flight by Dearborn and Clark.

Temps (H/L) were 68/61F with humidity at 63%. Winds were WNW at 14 mph (Source: https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/usa/chicago/historic)

The next day, 04 October 2019, I revisited this site and found no monarchs. It was much colder: (H/L) 59/55F, humidity at 67% and winds ENE at 13 mph.

I always worry whether they will make it out before the cold sets in...
