Observed 3 Monarchs individually arrive from the north on the west side of the Tip & retreat to trees.
Located an established roost of about 35 very high on the west side of a tall Hackberry tree very close to the very Tip. Individuals roosted nearby here & there. A cluster of 3 on a hackberry branch overhanging west path. Individuals here & there along west path. 3 observed separately in their fav Hackberry tree; 2 on east side way up top;1 on the west side.

Plenty of lavender & white Asters grace the entire park & the Tip. Also New England Asters here & there & some pink clover & Knapweed.
1 monarch roosted on west side of a Hop tree.
All appeared pristine.

Temps warm up 10/5. Week forecast daytime highs 17-20°c(mid to high 60's) overnight lows of 7-13°c (Mid 50's to mid 60's)
