On the Blue Ridge Parkway by 9:30 am, hoping to see some early flying Monarchs before the cool front and fog. Feel very lucky to have counted 34 from 10-12 pm, flying over Haywood Gap before the fog surrounded us. Most of the upper elevation areas were under dense fog at this point.

Moved further South to Licklog Ridge Overlook, mm 436. Much less fog at this area. Saw them flying through one or two at a time. Counted 67 from 1-2:15 pm.
