Pictured: 1 adult male monarch butterfly

Not pictured but also seen: 2-3 additional monarchs across the path nectaring on plants that look like Mexican sunflowers (but I'm not sure what they are). There were also many, many goldfinches sharing the spot.

Weather conditions: (H/L) 64/59F. Humidity was 62%. Winds were from the S at 9 mph.

Other: I dread the winter. I will really miss these creatures of grace.
