By 5 pm Zero Monarchs were observed at the Tip. Went back to West Beach just north of the Tip & observed about 6 nectaring on full bloom lavender Asters & senesced Goldenrod. Until 5:50pm Observed another 6 arrive from tthe north along the shoreline & come inland to nectar.
6:10 pm back at Tip. Over the next hour observed a few individually settled on Hackberry on west path & the others arrived on the west side & retreated into trees. No clusters observed.
Four were seen at Tip Shuttle stop. I usually need to see 75-100 Monarchs to locate a cluster.
The last 15 arrived 10 minutes before sunset.
Most were pristine but one had a triangle shape (from bird) cut out of lower wing.
Temps forecast for the week highs of around 20°c

Turkey Vultures riding the wind fir a few minutes stole the show. Blue jays also.
Visitors were still happy to see the Monarchs!
