We saw a female hummingbird feeding at the salvias grown just for them, and also at the sugar water feeder. Last year the final date that we saw one was September 27th, but we also kept our feeders out until late October. The rainy, windy weather this past week has either kept them here or helped them fly South for the winter. The wind direction was either northeast or southwest. The overnight lows were in the low to mid 40s F and the daytime temps were upper 59-60s.
