Monarchs counted as they flew over Linville Peak at 5303 feet - on the edge of the Blue Ridge escarpment. we counted 121 before the storm came in. We also saw 39 common green darners, 28 chimney swifts, 2 ruby-throated hummingbirds, and 10 black saddlebags.
