Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/06/2019

Number: 1

When we came out from dining at Matthews Cafeteria around 11:45, there was a monarch nectaring on the blooms of a crepe myrtle tree just outside the door. Today is overcast, it was 70 degrees, and there are occasional gusts of wind.

This area is in a severe drought and has experienced extremely high temperatures, but it seems that we are finally cooling down some. Flowers are scanty due to the drought.
