Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/06/2019

Number: 200

While out collecting indiangrass and big bluestem seed today, I was cruising through the set aside acres. I saw many many monarchs nectarine on red clover in a late bloom.
While there is much aster still in bloom, they seemed to prefer the red clover.

Also, in St. Joseph, where I work, I have seen a steady flight of monarchs throughout the week, sometimes seeing as many as 12- 14 per minute in some locales, in an urban environment.
