Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/06/2019

Number: 2

We were not sure if last few hummers had left so I did a 'stake-out' at kitchen feeder with the lights off. Dark outside but at 7:15AM when sunlight was just beginning to rise I saw a female Black-chin come to feeder for a few sips then she saw me move & flew away. 1-2 mins. Later a smaller Ruby fed but both were very much 'spooked' with any movement. I did not hear vocals or hear alot of chasing going on today. Storm front. Came in today with 83° at 7pm, low suppose to be 58 at 7am tomorrow. NW winds at 12mph & gusts of 20mph. Partly-cloudy with some rain & thunder. Already dreading the day they all fly South. Will leave up feeders for any stragglers that usu. Come thru.
