Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/07/2019

Number: 2

Sunny and 65 degrees, winds 10 MPH from the Southwest. Saw a Monarch flying south while I was driving and when I got home a few minutes ago there was a male Monarch in my front garden which is in the sun, feeding on blanket flower. There are zinnia in the back but that's now in the shade so figure this guy wanted the sun. I was just debating whether I should get my net, catch this guy and drive him to Iowa but I looked a minute later and he was gone. I hope he's makes the most of the nice weather the next couple days.
