The members of Mrs. Bousquet's class have been studying monarch butterflies: their life cycle, adaptations, important role in the ecosystem, and their amazing migration. We are excited to be part of this project and to continue our work. We made observations of them as they went through the five instar stages, formed their chrysalises, and emerged as monarch butterflies. We released 7 and have noticed that this week we are no longer seeing any monarchs in our area. Our conclusion is that they are on their way to their winter home!
