Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/11/2019

Number: 25

I was standing in line to tour the Biltmore Estate (10:30 am) and I was noticing lots of individual monarchs flying around the building casting their shadows and then I saw a group of 25+ of them flying in a group heading one direction together. They were away from the building flying between trees (not way up in the sky). I had never see a group flying together so I was ecstatic!
After the tour of the house I toured the gardens there and searched for more monarchs but only saw a few here and there. The photo I added was of one in the gardens.
