During the course of the day, my husband and I saw 16 Monarchs, all heading south. We weren’t specifically looking for them, just saw them in the course of our activities. Since it was beautiful out, probably 65 degrees Fahrenheit, it was nice to be outside. This is the most we’ve seen in one day this fall. Peak here in the Kansas City area is about September 22, and we didn’t see many then.
