Summer into Winter in Central Montana. September 28 the first of two record snowfall buries Big Sky Country. Lewistown received 14 inches of snow, and with green leaves still on trees, many branches were broken blocking streets. Trees still have many branches hanging on parent trees. The Governor declared a State of Emergency to mobilize local and state agencies. City crews have been working the past two weeks removing branches from town. Record low temperatures were recorded in 19 cities.
