Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/12/2019

Number: 585

On a gorgeous fall day with a moderate southernly wind with temps in the 60's I spotted 585 Monarchs from 3 pm to 6:15. The monarchs looked healthy and were feeding on the golden rod which is plentiful. The evening temps are hovering around 50. I tried to locate roosts at sunset, but could only find single monarchs. Many monarchs were still feeding on golden rod at sunset.
