Hummingbird Sighting

2 left, one new one looks like females are finally coming thru.
In regards to JN reporter Paula in Houston that lives just a few miles northwest of me, It has been a banner year for male hummingbirds here. I attribute more hummers because I redid garden with more heat tolerant plants. Most everything like Hamelia pattens was not blooming until last week of Sept. Salvia Aimstead just fried as well as coral honeysuckle. Bkack and blue salvias did well and are just now blooming.
I tossed a lot of container heat tolerant nectar plants replaced with Dallas red lantana, yellow lantana. Added more purple porterweed, coral porterweed. These plants are just now blooming therefore hummers most likely passed thru Houston in that we didn't get our usual waves. All this is because it's El Nino year until November.
I was able to get some to go to that 4 port pinch waist big red flower perky pet feeder that JN correspondent Bonnie in Denton relayed her hummingbirds preferred.
