It had been more than a week since my last hummingbird sighting, but I've been keeping 10-12 feeders up, with fresh, warm sugar water on chilly mornings, just in case. I also added a conspicuous red dome to one feeder that would be especially easy to spot from the air. That's where a hummingbird was nectaring in the early afternoon. It didn't stay long. The wind was from the north, with broken low clouds and occasional drizzle. During the night, we had a hailstorm.
