Official counts ended Oct. 14th but I'm still checking :)
At the Tip at Point Pelee National Park 4:10-7:10 pm.
A perfect fall day mostly clear with warm temp of 18°c.
Overnight low of 8°c.
SE wind @ 28/31kmh.
Temps cooling with rain & very strong winds forecast for a couple of days but the weekend will again be warm with favourable wind for arrivals & departures.
Sunset 6:49
Most pristine but observed 1 with discoloration in wings & another with very torn lower wings but flying well.
There are still blooming Asters & a wee bit of fresh bloomed goldenrod & Knapweed blossoms.
*In the morning wild monarchs were passing south through our property on their way into the Park. I managed to tag one that was intensely nectaring on our zinnias.
Count by binoculars & clicker.
Lots of photos here & I'll post a video later-
