Tulips planted by Muldoon Elementary students on a 21st Century Schools field trip. Ground was frozen about 4 inches down after late rains. I dug out chunks of soil with a pitchfork and used a drill with a bulb auger to plant 50 tulips.
I have been doing the program for many years. As a retired first grade teacher, I don't have classroom so now I plant at the Alaska Botanical Garden with kids on our Fall field trips.
