Mark Martin observed a monarch that looked like it was going to roost in the spruce trees at W7503 Kampen Road, Arlington where 21 fall roost observations were reported in September. Time was about 3:00 p.m. It was about 12 mile per hour winds, cloudy and about 52 degrees. There are only a few late flowering asters for nectaring monarchs.
Seed collectors also saw a monarch at Goose Pond Sanctuary on October 14.
