I've been watching the monarch migration pass by the window of our US Fish & Wildlife Service office for about an hour (starting at 2:30 PM). I counted 9 monarchs in about 2 minutes, and they just keep coming and coming. They're all flying directly south and fairly high. Very few nectar plants are in bloom in the area.
