Spotted the Last Monarch of the season this afternoon, flying south, into a light southern wind. Temps were in the 50s and it was sunny. There were no nectar sources in the goldenrod pastures where he was flying.
This morning's temperature was 33 degrees F.
Chances of making it to Mexico? Well, maybe better than mine, but not good..............
You never know the last time, but this could be it for this year.
