In a spot where we had been seeing three monarchs, we spotted one today, nectaring on Verbena bonariensis in the company of a red admiral and about four painted ladies. Temperatures reached just over 60 degrees during the day. The wind was from the SSW at 12 kilometers per hour, gusting higher than that.
