This is a monarch waystation for which I’ve not seen so much as a single monarch here in over a month, then today, I caught 4 of them in sight, 2 were a bit ragged and a little dull (one had a hole through it’s wing but was still flying fearlessly); they were landing on milkweed but feasting, not mating or egg laying, ergo I figured them to be the passing through for the southern belt migration. Got a few pics but they were very flighty and hard to capture on camera.
