Ragged/battered dark orange male straggler sighted in my garden (or what's left of it). Seems really late for this area; low nighttime temp of 33 degrees predicted by end of this week. He stuck around for at least an hour, feeding on salvia, tropical milkweed and zinnias, and just about anything elsee he could find. I have seen other monarch photos posted on Facebook today by friends in Urbana and Charleston, Ill.
