I released a female (collected from the wild between larval and pupal stages) in this wildlife conservation area. While there, I saw another adult flying around the field. Conditions were sunny, 61 degrees F and calm winds. There are still a few viable wild asters that bees and flies are nectaring on, but the butterflies seem to prefer the clover that is still blooming.
