Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 10/22/2019

Number: 1

Still seeing our little hummer, he's finally getting a bit of a belly on him.

I've started putting this wrap around the feeder before I bring it out in the morning, it keeps the glass feeder from turning ice cold, in turn keeping the sugar water a little warmer than it would be without it wrapped. I take the wrap off once it starts warming up in the day, once I took the wrap off and felt the glass feeder, it was not cold, it's like it had a coat on and stayed warm. I felt the glass feeder about 10 mins after the wrap was off and it was ice cold! So the wrap does help keep the sugar water from getting as cold as it would of without the wrap.

First picture of him today was at the Turks Caps Flowers, then the rest of the day seen at feeder off and on all day.

The morning temp was 56 degrees and the high for today was 74 degrees.
