At 9 am this morning a hummingbird stopped at the feeder briefly. I grabbed my camera and sped out the door, but by the time I got around the house for a photo, the hummer had left. I watched the feeder for about an hour to see if it would return, but it must have hurried on its way south. It was 39 degrees and calm after several very windy days, but started raining about a half hour later.
