Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/28/2019

Number: 4

The weather the last six days has been very cloudy, rainy, and a freeze. Temperatures have been 28-56F. This is why I was surprised to see a male and a female monarch today on my walk. The male was seen at one of the camping lots at 12:50 PM at the state park, and the female was seen on aster flowers at the fields at the end of 2nd Street at 1:10 PM. I met my friend Larry, and he saw 2 monarchs at the harbor around 1:40 PM. I went to the harbor, but saw no monarchs, and I retraced my route and did not see the monarchs I saw earlier. So they were migrating along low above the ground. The weather was 100% sunny until 4PM when it became 100% cloudy. Wind was SSW-5-10 mph with a high temperature of 57F.
