Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/28/2019

Number: 1

One lone monarch butterfly stopped by our garden this afternoon. It lingered for a while and visited the fading zinnias and verbena bonariensis. We have had a few light frosts, but there are still flowers to provide some nectar. The bees were flying about feeding and enjoying the warm weather, too. Today was beautiful with the sun shining, a gentle southwest wind and temps in the upper 60's. This weekend will be colder with the possibility of a low in the upper 20's.
