Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 11/02/2019

Number: 1

Much to my dismay, I discovered a monarch in my front yard at 4 p.m. this afternoon. We had frost last night here. It was quite breezy at 4 with temperatures in the 50s but bright sunshine.

After nectaring on the remaining butterfly bush flowers, this male flew up into a neighbor's camellia bush and spread its wings in the sunshine. Good luck and Godspeed! Time to head south!
