I have been observing a late migrating immature Ruby-throated Hummingbird visiting my yard since October 29. I have several container plants that I will be overwintering indoors, and many of them are still blooming. He doesn't seem to be interested in the feeders in my yard, however, the blooms have been a hit. The blooms in the image are salvia durifolia 'Elk Blue'. It was a very windy afternoon, but the young, determined hummingbird managed to hang on :)
