I spotted a male and a female monarch in my yard around 1 p.m. today. They both sunned on nearby trees and nectared on butterfly bushes. The female stayed at least until 3 p.m. It was a warm and sunny afternoon with little breeze.

Hurry south! Freezing temperatures are coming this weekend.
