saw an immature swan today in the last remaining open spots in the river near my home today.
we always see the swans almost as soon as the rivers open, but then they go out in the backwoods where we dont see them again until fall migration. however, i was still surprised to see this young swan in the river today. i know they will move as the water freezes over, and he was not there anymore this afternoon.
