My friend in southwestern Ontario, found monarch in hardware store on sickly plant (mum); monarch could not fly properly : a dip in the wing, portion has fallen off - butterfly has remained in home - for 2 months and will winter with her as long as she lives -anyone out there had experience keeping non-flying monarchs health and over winter to live out their life? A website to reference? In Canada - it's very cold and she will not make it to Mexico but, could be released in spring on farm/acreage/meadow with visiting monarch/milkweed, nectar plants.
