I have found a chrysalis which I think is a monarch, but I have another chrysalis which looks the same and I've followed it growing as a swallowtail caterpillar on a volunteer small citrus. When I looked up the two types of chrysalis (swallowtail and monarch) I see that they are very different in appearance from each other. I'm being fooled by all of this. And we are having a hard cold 3 day rain. fear none will survive. I have to toughen up.
