Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 11/27/2019

Number: 1

This lone hummer has been here about 3.5 weeks. I have misidentified it previously as a female Ruby Throated, but a couple times lately, I've seen it a little better and realize it is another variety and the sex is unknown. It spends the day in the high parts of a Crepe Myrtle and visits the feeder, in a Maple tree, both being probably 35' from my front porch. Much of the time, when I can see it, it's either silhouetted by being backlit or seen at unfavorable angles. When it knows I'm on the porch, it often tends to perch on the opposite side of the feeder.
