We saw a juvenile bald eagle. We were close to it and it stayed up in a high tree next door for a half hour. The crows were trying to dive-bomb it and scare it away but it ignored them and they finally gave up.
I am very familiar with all the hawks in our area and they come by often since we have lots of birds feeding in our backyard. At first I thought it was maybe a golden eagle, but when I looked it up in my field guide I discovered that it was actually a juvenile bald eagle
