Counted 15 monarch caterpillars in different instars on this set of two tropical milkweeds in my backyard today this Winter Solstice. There are more monarch cats on the the other tropical milkweeds and on the arizona milkweeds (Asclepias angustifolia) in the yard. Chrysalises protected on my screened-in porch are actively eclosing as well. Have been tagging the adults.
