Bald Eagle
Sightings report image

Date: 01/07/2020

Number: 1

I was unable to get a picture the first time I saw the eagle in Late November, Early December on Pekin Rd., Oakfield NY 14125. At the time, the eagle that I observed was an adolescent with a gold/brown head starting to turn white. It was definitely an eagle. This most recent sighting is TODAY (01/07/2020) by a friend driving down Pekin Rd., Oakfield NY 14125. I've attached a picture of the video that they posted on facebook. This is clearly an adult bald eagle with the white cap. I do not know if they flock together or are independent animals but it's very cool to see this bird twice along the same route (road) in our small town! We live very close to the Iroquois national wildlife refuge in Alabama, NY, and Motezuma national wildlife refuge in Seneca Falls, NY is not far away.
