Rufous still here with a lot of unusual warm weather. Fog, rain daily for 2 weeks now, staying in mid 70's.
I have been trying out new acquired salvias, Pineapple sage, Rockin purple, Skyscraper orange, Skyscraper deep purple. Old standbys of Aimstead, Black and Blue sages that bloom taller are easier for Rufous to access.
Since we are having a warm winter red yuccas, Aloes are blooming Rufous takes to also briefly.
Skull cap (scularia) trying to bloom in hanging baskets will be brought in if a have a artic blast.
This us definitely same Rufous as last year with more orange on it as it matured. Still not sure what sex Rufous is.
